Meeting of the Permanent Representative of Armenia to the Council of Europe with the Secretary General of PACE

On August 25, the newly appointed Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan had a meeting with Mr. Wojciech Sawicki, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia highlighted the role of PACE as an important democratic platform to discuss issues of PanEuropean importance, which has its contribution to the development of democratic institutions and strengthening of human rights in member states.

The Secretary General of PACE congratulated the Permanent Representative of Armenia on his appointment and wished him a productive work aimed also at the development of the parliamentary cooperation.

The interlocutors touched upon topics on the agenda of the PACE and pan European challenges as well as exchanged views on the current issues of the international relations.
