Meeting of the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the Council of Europe with the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe

On August 30 Permanent Representative of Armenia to the Council of Europe Paruyr Hovhannisyan had a meeting with Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni.

During the meeting Paruyr Hovhannisyan deposited the instruments of ratification of the Convention on Prevention of Terrorism and of 15th protocol amending the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and
After signing of the relevant procès-verbal of deposit, a conversation took place, during which the parties touched upon topics currently on the agenda of the Council of Europe as well as regional issues.

The parties discussed the implementation process of Armenia – Council of Europe Action Plan 2015-2018, which was launched at the event in Yerevan, on May 21 of this year with participation of Foreign Minister of Armenia and Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

The parties reassured their mutual commitments towards continuation of efforts on the effective implementation of Action Plan aimed at the support of the continuous reforms in the areas of democracy, human rights and rule of law in Armenia.
