Visit of Ombudsman of Artsakh to Strasbourg

On 13-14 February Ruben Melikyan, the Human Rights Defender of the Artsakh Republic (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) paid a working visit to Strasbourg.

During his visit the Ombudsman had working meetings in the Council of Europe and in the European institutions.

At the press conference organized in the European Parliament, answering to questions of journalists, Ruben Melikyan presented results of his meetings. He particularly stressed that the people of Artsakh fully share the European values and are ready to have more inclusive European involvement aimed at continuous strengthening of human rights and fundamental freedoms in Artsakh.
