Meeting of the Permanent Representative of Armenia to the Council of Europe with the President of the University of Strasbourg

On March 13, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Permanent Representative of Armenia to the Council of Europe, had a meeting with Michel Deneken, President of the University of Strasbourg. During the meeting a number of programmes on possible cooperation were discussed.

Michel Deneken informed the Ambassador that the University of Strasbourg has traditional contacts with institutions of higher education of Armenia, particularly, with the faculties of theology and chemistry. The President also spoke about the Armenian students studying at the University of Strasbourg.

Paruyr Hovhannisyan commended that the field of education and science is one of the most dynamic branches of the Armenian-French multifaceted cooperation, while expressing interest in implementing joint projects with the University of Strasbourg in that field.

The sides agreed to work towards organizing conferences and roundtables with the participation of academic circles and think-tanks.
