Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Marija Pejčinović Burić, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe

On February 25, on the margins of the 43rd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

The sides exchanged views on the efforts aimed at jointly addressing the challenges of strengthening democracy in Europe and increasing the effectiveness of Council of Europe's activities.

Touching upon the achievements and shortcomings in the sphere of protection of human rights, Minister Mnatsakanyan emphasized the universal nature of Human Rights, as well as the promotion and protection of Human Rights throughout the European continent, including in the conflict zones.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan briefed Marija Pejčinović Burić on the agenda of democratic reforms initiated by the Government of Armenia.
