Minister of Justice of Armenia Grigor Minasyan’s visit to Strasbourg

On 12 and 13 June, RA Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan paid a two-day working visit to Strasbourg.

The Minister held productive meetings with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejčinović Burić, the President of the European Court of Human Rights, Síofra O'Leary, and the President of the Venice Commission, Claire Bazy-Malaurie.

They discussed the progress of important reforms undertaken by the Armenian government, such as further reforms of the judicial and legal system, the execution of ECHR judgments, reforms of the prison and probation system, the legal and institutional framework for the protection of human rights and gender equality, and other issues.

Minister Grigor Minasyan also visited the Permanent Representation of Armenia to the Council of Europe.
