Meeting between the Permanent Representative of Armenia and the President of PACE

On January 29, Ambassador Khachatryan met Theodoros Rousopoulos, the newly elected President of PACE.

Congratulating Theodoros Rousopoulos on his election as the PACE President, the Permanent Representative of Armenia reiterated Armenia's support to PACE in its important mission of protecting human rights, strengthening democracy and ensuring the rule of law.

In the context of regional security issues, Ambassador Khachatryan briefed his interlocutor on the recent developments in the normalisation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and highlighted the importance of the support and engagement of international partners in the efforts of establishing peace in the region.
The sides touched base on the discussions held and adopted decisions within the framework of PACE winter session.
