Meeting between the Permanent Representative of Armenia and the President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities

On February 14 Ambassador Khachatryan, the Permanent Representative of Armenia to the CoE, met with Marc Cools, the President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.

During the meeting the Permanent Representative of Armenia reiterated Armenia's support to the works of Congress highlighting the importance of the efforts aimed at developing the local democracies.

The sides touched upon the programs implemented by the Congress in Armenia, especially in the context of the assistance to the forcibly displaced people from Nagorno Karabakh.

Ambassador briefed his interlocutor on the recent developments of the normalisation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and emphasized the Azerbaijani destructive and provocative actions.
